<strong>Role and Responsibilities</strong><br />

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intermediate or Senior Field Technician to join our clientâs engineering and environmental field services team. This position supports a wide range of mining, hydroelectric, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring projects throughout British Columbia and beyond. Based in Vancouver, the successful candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality environmental, hydrometric, and climate data, maintaining monitoring equipment, and supporting environmental compliance and scientific investigations in remote and challenging field environments.<br />

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the wilderness, enjoys hiking and remote travel, and is eager to build a career in water resources. Youâll be based in their downtown Vancouver office when not in the field and expected to spend a significant amount of time in some of the most stunning and rugged landscapes in Western Canadaâand beyond.<br />

<strong>Some of your duties include:</strong>

&#9;<li>Conduct hydrometric field monitoring including streamflow measurements, water level monitoring, and discharge measurements. &nbsp;</li>
&#9;<li>Install, operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain hydrometric instrumentation, including water level loggers, telemetry systems, pressure transducers, and meteorological stations.</li>
&#9;<li>Perform environmental monitoring including:</li>
&#9;<li>Surface water sampling</li>
&#9;<li>Groundwater monitoring</li>
&#9;<li>Water quality measurements</li>
&#9;<li>Sediment sampling</li>

&#9;<li>Collect, document, and manage field data in accordance with project protocols and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.</li>

<strong>Travel Requirements</strong><br />
This position requires frequent travel throughout British Columbia, including remote mining sites, hydroelectric facilities, and environmental monitoring locations. Adapting to varying work environments is a crucial skill. Overnight travel and extended periods away from home are expected. Candidates should enjoy working in diverse outdoor environments and be comfortable adapting to changing project schedules.<br />

<strong>What the successful candidate will bring:</strong>

&#9;<li>Experience working on mining, hydroelectric, infrastructure, or environmental consulting projects is considered an asset.</li>
&#9;<li>Familiarity with hydrometric standards and field measurement techniques.</li>
&#9;<li>Experience using environmental monitoring equipment and field instrumentation.</li>

Required Qualifications

As Intermediate Environmental Consultant, you will be involved with the planning, management and execution of contaminated site projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;You will work on project teams that include junior staff and senior review, with technical specialists.&nbsp;&nbsp;Projects will vary and can include any of the following: Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments, contaminated site investigation and remediation, hydrogeology investigations, monitoring programs, regulatory reporting for Record of Site Conditions and/ or Risk Assessments. Some field work will be required, generally connected with large, complex, difficult or remote sites, or for training of junior staff.<br />

<span><span>CECMS is looking to add an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation (E&I) Lead with experience in Low Voltage (LV) Motor Control Centers (MCC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) panels fitted with Human-Machine-Interfaces (HMIs).</span></span><br />

&#9;<li><span><span><span><span>Experience in extrusion, flexographic printing, or winding processes an asset</span></span></span></span></li>
&#9;<li><span><span><span><span>Fluency in Taiwanese, Mandarin Chinese, and English.</span></span></span></span></li>
