Vice President-Credit - 19043
Job Description
The Vice President, Credit Operations is responsible for overseeing lending, recoveries, credit risk, and banking operations. This role contributes to the institution’s strategic direction as part of the executive team, ensuring adherence to credit policies and regulatory guidelines while optimizing the efficiency of lending operations. The VP works collaboratively with internal and external partners to balance risk mitigation and business growth, managing teams across underwriting, funding, legal, and mortgage operations.
Vice President, Credit Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies related to lending, credit risk, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and motivate teams in underwriting, legal, recoveries, and operations to meet business goals.
- Ensure credit policies align with market trends, regulatory standards, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the Credit Management Committee and strengthen the institution’s credit risk framework.
- Implement technology and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- 15+ years of senior leadership experience in mortgage lending and underwriting within a federally regulated financial institution.
- Post-secondary education in business (B. Comm or MBA preferred).
- Expertise in credit risk management, financial institution operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Primarily office-based, with occasional business travel.
- Requires focus and adherence to deadlines, with intense periods of concentration.
Manages multiple teams, including Underwriting, Loan Processing, Legal Services, and Operations.

He has completed a number of marathons, Gran Fondos and triathlons, including Ironman Florida.
