Job Description

Our client, a leading insurance company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President, Commercial to spearhead commercial strategies, drive revenue growth, and lead high-performing sales and marketing teams. This executive role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in business development, market expansion, and customer relationship management.

Vice President, Commercial key responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, channel strategies, and product positioning to optimize market penetration.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of commercial initiatives with overall business strategy.
Sales Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive sales pipeline development and ensure effective forecasting and reporting.
Marketing and Customer Relationships:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through effective engagement and problem resolution.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance market reach and business growth.
Financial Performance and Budget Management:
  • Oversee commercial budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and return on investment.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and commercial performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive profitability through effective commercial planning.
Operational Excellence:
  • Implement efficient processes and workflows to optimize commercial activities across sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify improvement areas.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
The successful candidate has:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record in sales and/or marketing with demonstrated success in driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for relationship-building with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reports.
  • In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Experience in developing and executing commercial strategies to drive business success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve strategic objectives.
