VP of Engineering/ Process Development - 19007

VP Engineering/Process Development Responsibilities:
- Develop unique chemical engineering processes proven at the lab level and through partnerships.
- Manage input preparation, product, and side streams
- Integrate processes into plant design.
- Oversee the design and construction of installations.
- Scale processes from lab to commercial size, ensuring all technical and operational aspects are addressed.
- Create experimental plans to achieve significant testing and operational goals.
- Oversee Lab and Operations teams, operating in separate locations (about one hour apart).
- Build strong relationships with team members and align both teams towards shared goals.
- Demonstrate moral authority to lead and inspire a team of seasoned experts.
- Understand and leverage each team member's strengths, inspiring them to exceed expectations.
- Contribute to the executive team’s growth strategies.
- Develop and execute the technological strategic plan.
- Registered Chemical Engineer status.
- Proven experience in process engineering with a strong ability to develop and scale processes, particularly from lab to commercial scale.
- Proficiency in both theoretical and practical chemistry, with a solid understanding of their applications in new process development.
- Demonstrated project management skills, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and assertively when necessary.
- A well-funded start-up background, adaptable and proactive.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and apply chemical principles innovatively.
- Background in innovation within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.
- Crucial research experience for pioneering new processes and rigorously.
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $180 000 – $200,000 depending on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package
- In office for the first 6 to 12 months and thereafter hybrid
- Tremendous opportunity for personal and financial growth once the technology is commercialized
