Our client in London, Ontario, is a trailblazing clean technology company reimagining the future of plastics. As their VP of Engineering/Process Development, you’ll lead impactful projects that advance environmental sustainability on a global scale.

VP Engineering/Process Development Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of a new and exciting chemical engineering process.
  • Take it from successful lab results to full-scale commercial operations.
  •  Oversee everything from initial input preparation to managing products and by-product streams.
  • Ongoing planning and experiments, setting operational benchmarks, and optimizing for both cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead Lab and Operations teams to build strong relationships with each team
  • Site visits will be essential to understand and enhance each team’s unique strengths, fostering a collaborative environment that values expertise and collective achievement.
  • Partner with the executive team to advance their long-term growth strategy.
  • Help define and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with commercialization goals.
  • Provide input on strategic direction to drive innovative solutions to the market.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Registered Chemical Engineer status.
  • Proven experience in process engineering with a strong ability to develop and scale processes, particularly from lab to commercial scale.
  • Proficiency in both theoretical and practical chemistry, with a solid understanding of their applications in new process development.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in petrochemicals, you bring a pioneering spirit to developing novel processes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Strong team management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and assertively when necessary.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and apply chemical principles innovatively.
  • Research experience for pioneering new processes and rigorously.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $200, 000 to $220,000 per annum depending on experience.

  • This is an in-office position and a couple times a month you will be required to travel between two sites less than an hour apart.
