Job Description

We’re looking for a remote Territory Manager in the Safety Technology industry.

Our client, a global leader in heavy equipment safety technology, is expanding their Canadian Sales team and looking to hire their first BC based sales rep. This is a home-based office position requiring in person sales activities with partner distributors and end users in the construction, mining, agriculture, waste management, transportation, heavy-duty vehicle, logistics, and municipal industries in the Lower Mainland and select locations throughout BC. An average of 10-20% overnight travel is required.

Territory Manager responsibilities:
  • Drive sales through strategic management of local distribution, OEM, and end user relationships.
  • Implement distributor training programs that include product knowledge, marketing initiatives, and business processes.
  • Prepare detailed quotations and proposals.
  • Partner with distributors to create and implement account plans with end users.
  • Prospect new business opportunities while consistently tracking/measuring progress using CRM system.
  • Influence top decision makers with end users on the product value aligned to the pain points of their business.
  • Participate in product training, trials, and installations.
The successful candidate has: 
  • 3+ years of proven industrial sales territory management experience.
  • Post secondary education in a technical field is considered an asset.
  • Sales experience or exposure to mining, forestry, heavy vehicles, construction, or municipality sectors is ideal.
  • Superior presentation/communication/interpersonal skills and ability to convey value.
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $85,000 – $95,000, depending on experience plus discretionary bonus program.
