Job Description
Our client is a leading provider of services to natural gas utilities. They are committed to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.
Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
- Travel throughout the north Atlantic/northeast USA service area to represent the company and achieve sales goals.
- Extensive travel throughout the work week with occasional weekend work as needed
- Participate in trade shows and natural gas conferences.
- Comply with all state, federal, and company safety regulations.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including work orders and expense reports.
- Assist with field service work for approx first year for training purposes.
- Exercise sound judgment in problem-solving and seek guidance when necessary.
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards.
The successful candidate has:
- BS in Engineering
- Sales background, with 5+ years in the natural gas industry in measurement, regulation, or odorization engineering or Oil & Gas.
- Flexibility for extensive travel throughout the north Atlantic/northeast region, with occasional travel to other parts of the US and Canada.
- Basic understanding of fluid pressure and flow.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- The discussed salary range is $120,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
- Company vehicle, cell phone, and credit card for business expenses.
