Technical Account Manager

Job Description
Our client is a Canadian leader in delivering water treatment programs and chemical solutions that improve system efficiency, protect assets, and reduce operating costs. Their products and services support cooling towers, steam boilers, and closed-loop systems across manufacturing, food processing, commercial, and institutional facilities. This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who excels at relationship management, problem-solving, and delivering long-term value to customers.
Technical Account Manager responsibilities:
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers across assigned industrial and commercial accounts
- Provide technical service, system monitoring, and performance analysis for water treatment programs
- Conduct site visits to evaluate system conditions and recommend product or service improvements
- Prepare technical reports and system audits to ensure program effectiveness
- Collaborate with service and laboratory teams to resolve technical issues and optimize performance
- Identify opportunities for incremental business growth within existing accounts
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or commercial water treatment account management
- Strong technical knowledge of cooling towers, boilers, and closed-loop systems
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze data, diagnose issues, and present solutions clearly to customers
- Post-secondary education in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally within assigned territory
- Base salary of $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience
