We're looking for a passionate Talent Acquisition Specialist in the wholesale distribution and manufacturing industry for a full in office role in a downtown Edmonton location.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent while ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing hiring decisions, and contributing to a strong organizational culture.


Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Draft and post job advertisements across multiple platforms and sourcing channels
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates through phone, virtual, and behavioral interviews
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring requirements
  • Coordinate interviews, facilitate candidate feedback, and support hiring decisions
  • Manage offer preparation, reference checks, and onboarding activities
  • Track recruitment metrics and maintain accurate candidate and requisition data
The Successful Candidate Has:
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition experience
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is considered an asset
  • Experience sourcing candidates through headhunting, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and other recruitment channels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams; experience with UKG is considered an asset
  • Previous recruitment experience within the construction, architectural, interior design, woodworking, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is considered an asset
  • A genuine passion for talent acquisition and building high-performing teams
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with candidates, hiring managers, and business leaders
  • High emotional intelligence and strong judgment when assessing candidate fit and long-term potential
  • Confidence to influence hiring decisions and act as a trusted recruitment partner to business leaders
  • A proactive, resilient, and results-oriented approach to sourcing, engaging, and attracting top talent
