Job Description


Our client, a growing company in the home furnishings industry, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. This leadership role is essential to ensuring efficient inventory flow, workplace safety, and service excellence. Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Distribution, the Warehouse Manager will lead a large warehouse team while driving process optimization and operational growth.

Warehouse Manager responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Oversight
  • Lead daily distribution centre activities including receiving, inventory storage, order fulfillment, and outbound logistics
  • Implement and refine SOPs for inventory handling, damage evaluation, quality control, and loss prevention
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee workplace safety practices and promote a safety-first culture through training and team engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Care, 3PL providers, and internal departments to address issues and support seamless product movement
  • Use data analytics to forecast inventory storage needs and optimize space and efficiency

Team Leadership & Culture
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 30+ staff, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Provide clear direction on tasks, deadlines, and expectations while ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead regular team meetings to communicate updates, reinforce goals, and promote accountability
  • Support leadership development among direct reports and empower experienced staff to take on mentorship roles
  • Handle workplace conflicts professionally and maintain objectivity under pressure

Process Improvement & Systems
  • Identify and implement operational improvements and system upgrades to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure accurate use of warehouse management systems (SAP preferred) and maintain strong documentation practices
  • Coordinate damaged inventory management with outlet stores and 3PL partners
  • Apply continuous improvement principles to scale operations and enhance customer experience

The successful candidate has:
  • 3+ years of warehouse management experience, including team leadership (30+ staff)
  • Proficiency with warehouse equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers); training certification is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse systems; SAP experience considered an advantage
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
