Superintendent - Institutional Construction - 19048
Job Description
Our client is continuing to expand and looking to add a talented Site Superintendent with school project experience to the team. Our client maintains a supportive and collaborative Senior management, allowing for opportunities to make a significant impact and contribute ideas throughout the construction process. The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Site Superintendent responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Project Coordinator and other team members
- Oversee subcontractors, schedule, quality and safety
- Contribute to decisions regarding development and implementation of construction methodology as well as design
- Work with the project team to problem solve on site issues
- lead and provide guidance to project team members
- Communicate with team and stakeholders
- Manage all conflict by effectively dealing with issues in a professional manner
- Able to proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when needed
- The ability to be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to think ahead and plan work accordingly
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building code and construction best practices
- Institutional/School project experience is essential
- Familiarity with wok safe procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an asset
- Capable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating solutions
- Strong Conflict resolution skillset
- Highly Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals and specifications
- Strong ability to multitask; be proactive; and understand attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent communication skills
- A Collaborative individual
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Teams
- Procore(or similar) software experience would be an asset
- The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $140,000, depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
