Steel Stud / Drywall Foreman
Job Description

The Steel Stud / Drywall Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, leading field crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to coordinate field activities.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise site crews while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
- Oversee and perform work related to steel stud framing, drywall installation, and suspended ceiling systems.
- Coordinate labour requirements and daily site operations in collaboration with the Project Manager and site stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular safety meetings, conduct site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain accurate daily site documentation, including labour tracking, progress updates, and field reports.
- Monitor workmanship and support quality control processes by identifying and addressing deficiencies.
- Coordinate material requests, deliveries, and site logistics to maintain project schedules.
- Complete routine administrative tasks and maintain project records using company field management systems.
- Document site issues, changes, and trade-related impacts while supporting effective communication with the project team.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, company standards, and all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and company policies across the job site.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial drywall, framing, and interior systems construction.
- Hands-on experience with framing, drywall, and suspended ceiling installations.
- Proven experience leading and supervising field crews on commercial construction projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and construction documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and hands-on management approach.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to maintain and enforce site safety standards.
- Experience using digital field reporting and construction management tools is considered an asset.
