Job Description

We’re looking for a full-time, on-site Steel Stud / Drywall Foreman in the commercial construction and interior systems industry.
Our client is a well-established commercial contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality interior construction projects across Western Canada. The organization partners with leading developers and general contractors on a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments.
The Steel Stud / Drywall Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, leading field crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to coordinate field activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise site crews while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
  • Oversee and perform work related to steel stud framing, drywall installation, and suspended ceiling systems.
  • Coordinate labour requirements and daily site operations in collaboration with the Project Manager and site stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular safety meetings, conduct site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate daily site documentation, including labour tracking, progress updates, and field reports.
  • Monitor workmanship and support quality control processes by identifying and addressing deficiencies.
  • Coordinate material requests, deliveries, and site logistics to maintain project schedules.
  • Complete routine administrative tasks and maintain project records using company field management systems.
  • Document site issues, changes, and trade-related impacts while supporting effective communication with the project team.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, company standards, and all applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices and company policies across the job site.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial drywall, framing, and interior systems construction.
  • Hands-on experience with framing, drywall, and suspended ceiling installations.
  • Proven experience leading and supervising field crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and hands-on management approach.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the ability to maintain and enforce site safety standards.
  • Experience using digital field reporting and construction management tools is considered an asset.
