The Underwriting Specialist will be responsible for managing complex accounts, delivering high standards of quality and service, and building lasting broker relationships.
Underwriting Specialist responsibilities:
- Underwrite and service complex mid-market accounts
- Execute renewals, evaluate risks, and negotiate rates
- Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver tailored solutions
- Mentor and coach junior underwriters
- Uphold national standards for data quality and service levels
- Continue developing expertise in complex risks
- 7+ years of underwriting experience
- Completion or pursuit of CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Proven customer service background
