Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Underwriting Specialist in the commercial insurance industry.

Our client is a leader in mid-market solutions, designing tailored package policies that bring together Property, Casualty, Auto, Professional Liability, and Cyber coverage. The Underwriting Specialist will be responsible for managing complex accounts, delivering high standards of quality and service, and building lasting broker relationships.

Underwriting Specialist responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and service complex mid-market accounts
  • Execute renewals, evaluate risks, and negotiate rates
  • Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver tailored solutions
  • Mentor and coach junior underwriters
  • Uphold national standards for data quality and service levels
  • Continue developing expertise in complex risks
The successful candidate has:
  • 7+ years of underwriting experience
  • Completion or pursuit of CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Proven customer service background
  • A collaborative, team-first approach
  • A solutions-oriented mindset
