Process Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Participate in risk review and HAZOP analyses, showcasing your ability to identify potential hazards and implement effective resolutions.
  • Craft and maintain heat and material balances, while continuously optimizing designs for maximum efficiency.
  • Navigate challenging environments such as sour gas or other toxic conditions with confidence and expertise.
  • Master pipe hydraulics, thermodynamics, and industrial water treatment.
  • Leverage your experience in process optimization to enhance commercial plant operations, with a focus on chemical plant operations where applicable.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in materials selection, with a keen eye for choosing the right materials for each project.
  • Take the lead on managing and implementing projects within your area of expertise, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
  • Conduct economic assessments of technology applications, providing invaluable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate has: 
  • Previous experience is industries such as battery production, pharmaceuticals or water treatment reflecting your inorganic chemical experience.
  • Registered professional engineer with APEGA
  • 10+ years of diverse process engineering experience
  • Experience in both EPC and owner/operator roles is preferred, highlighting adaptability and versatility.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical areas, including risk review, HAZOP analyses, heat and material balances, pipe hydraulics, thermodynamics, and industrial water treatment.
  • Experience in working with challenging environments such as sour gas or other toxic conditions, demonstrating specialized expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, particularly in commercial plant operations, with a focus on chemical plant operations being advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions to overcome them.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The compensation will range from $160 to $175 000 depending on experience.
