We’re looking for a hybrid Senior Human Resources Business Partner in the not-for-profit agriculture industry.

Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for all HR functions in a solution and action-focused function. 

Senior Human Resources Business Partner responsibilities:
  • In consultation with senior management, build and/or support the development and execution of HR tools and processes with future-focused solutions that will advance the capabilities of the organization and our culture. 
  • Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employees toward successful outcomes. 
  • Responsible for the training and leadership development initiatives across the organization 
  • Plan, organize, and execute staff events 
  • Manages, administers and delivers the annual performance management program 
  • Continue to enrich culture and impact through delivering diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle as well as off-boarding and exit interviews, documenting trends
  • Facilitate the offboarding process and conduct the exit interview process and document trends
  • Lead bi-annual salary benchmarking and annual compensation review
  • Lead payroll, pension, and benefits programs and underlying administration 
  • Manage HR vendors such as payroll, benefits, recruitment agencies, software providers, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation
  • In consultation with the CFO, development of HR budget salaries, and variance analysis 
The successful candidate has: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field’ or a combination of post-secondary education and experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3 of those years being in a Business Partner or Senior Generalist role
  • Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation is a must, and Bamboo HR is an asset
  • French/English bilingual is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of trends, best practices, legislation change, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Able to establish credibility and influence as a leader among management & staff
  • Experienced in leading change initiatives and benefits and payroll administration 
  • Strong business acumen, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $90,000– $100,000 depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
