Job Description
Great opportunity for a seasoned financial planner with CFP to work behind the scenes in this remote role in Ontario. The role is non-client facing without pressure to bring on new clients or sell products. Our client is a premier independent Canadian wealth management firm with offices across Eastern Canada.
Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will provide high-quality financial plans for approx.100 current clients of the firm.
Key responsibilities:
- In advance of client's annual meeting, you will review the existing financial plan and gather updated financial data.
- Update the client's file in NaviPlan for the current year.
- Review lead advisor's notes following the meeting to confirm client objectives.
- Identify and research potential planning opportunities for the client.
- Update the client's written financial plan (using established template) with questions to be discussed with lead advisor.
- Generate client-facing reports in NaviPlan (cash flow, net worth, etc.) to attach to written plan.
The successful candidate has:
- CFP designation with 5+ years in preparing client-facing financial plans. Estate planning experience would be desirable as well.
- Expert level proficiency with NaviPlan is essential.
- High attention to detail and process driven.
- Highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently from home office.
- Unwavering commitment to client confidentiality.
- Strong communication and people skills.
