Great opportunity for a seasoned financial analyst in newly created role with growing group of Manitoba companies. You will provide a key role in providing all levels of senior management and executive with information and analysis they require to make operational, financial and strategic decisions. You will provide monthly cost analysis that actively challenges the business, develop tracking/interpretation of KPI's and proactive identification of business opportunities for cost savings/revenue generation and assist with new projects and ad hoc analysis.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning And Analysis. Responsible for championing the budgeting/forecasting/financial analysis process for departments
  • Data Management. Key contributor to improving/guiding the data management framework and acting as subject matter expert for tools utilized such as Excel, MS Power Products, Tableau
  • Reporting. Working with stakeholders to understand their information needs. Conduct analysis to assess and extract meaningful data, working with subject matter experts to resolve any information/data gaps.
  • Modeling. Provide input to benchmarking surveys, corporate projects/RFP by conducting cost benefit analysis, unit cost calculations and ensuring business needs are addressed
  • Deliver monthly cost analysis as it relates to Operations, Marketing, Leasing and Property Management departments
  • Develop, track and interpret KPI's to give a clear understanding of departmental performance
  • Provide variance analysis to departmental actual results compared to budgets
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements, cost saving opportunities
  • Assist with new project business case analysis and ROI calculations on post implementation
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance revenue or reduce costs

What the successful candidate will bring:
  • Degree in Business or Finance and completion or near completion of CPA designation considered an asset
  • Accounting experience in Residential property management preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and present information with clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Well versed knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Power Platform such as Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis to identify underlying principles, reasons or facts
  • Ability to manage time well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
