The Senior Claims Adjuster will take the lead on complex Commercial General Liability claims, driving fair, timely resolutions while influencing best practices and mentoring others within a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of complex commercial liability claims from first notice to resolution
- Evaluate coverage, assess liability, and negotiate settlements within authority limits
- Handle high-exposure injury and property damage claims with sound judgment and precision
- Collaborate with brokers, underwriters, and legal partners to achieve optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate reserves and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced adjusters
- Identify claim trends and recommend process or policy improvements
- 5–8+ years of commercial liability claims experience (CGL focus)
- Post-secondary education in Business, Law, or a related field
- CIP designation required; FCIP or CRM preferred
- Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
- Valid or eligible Level 2 Adjuster’s Licence in Alberta and/or British Columbia
- Competitive salary range: $90,000 – $100,000, depending on experience
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
