Job Description
To be successful in this hybrid or remote position you will have robust technical accounting and analytical skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As well you will have a working knowledge of IFRS and SEC regulations.
Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Assess the accounting implications of complex and non-routine transactions, preparing related documentation.
- Manage special projects, including business acquisitions and implementation of new accounting standards, ESG compliance, and more.
- Participate in the quarterly financial disclosure process, reviewing financial statement note disclosures for improvement.
- Provide technical support to the finance teams and operations on matters involving financial accounting and reporting.
- Support internal training on updates to accounting standards and various accounting issues.
- Coordinate SOX compliance audits and tests for non-routine accounting positions and transactions with internal and external auditors.
- Support the financial reporting team in preparing monthly and quarterly reports.
- CPA designation.
- Experience with a Big 4 (assurance or advisory) or national public accounting firm.
- Knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting with a publicly traded company.
- Knowledge of IFRS and SEC regulations (US GAAP knowledge considered an asset).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- A commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- The salary ranges from 120,000 to 130,000 per annum based on experience.
