We’re looking for a hybrid Senior Accountant in the construction industry. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting full cycle accounting and financial reporting, while working closely with a friendly and experienced team. This role offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration within a flexible hybrid work environment.

Senior Accountant responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle accounting and month end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Assist with project accounting and job cost tracking
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial accuracy and reporting

The successful candidate has:

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Post secondary education in accounting or finance
  • Experience in construction or project-based accounting is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a supportive team environment

Compensation and benefits:

  • The salary range is $70,000 – $90,000 depending on experience
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
