Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to join their team at a prestigious high-end hair stylist salon in Toronto. The Salon Manager will work directly with the owner to oversee daily operations, build and maintain a loyal client base, and manage a team of talented hair stylists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the beauty industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in salon management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
    • Proactively attract new clients through effective marketing strategies, networking, and community engagement.
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of skilled hair stylists and support staff.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, professionalism, and growth.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Ensure smooth daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining salon cleanliness and hygiene standards.
    • Implement and enforce salon policies and procedures to uphold high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and manage salon budget, expenses, and revenue goals.
    • Drive sales through effective retail strategies and upselling of salon services and products.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the owner on marketing initiatives to promote salon services, special promotions, and events.
    • Utilize social media platforms and digital marketing tools to enhance salon visibility and attract clientele.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in salon management, preferably in a high-end or luxury salon environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a strong client base.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in financial management and sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of current trends in the beauty and fashion industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Knowledge of Keratase Products would be an asset.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in Cosmetology or Beauty Industry Management is an asset.
