They are presently in search of a highly driven and seasoned Sales Manager to join their team and contribute significantly to sales expansion. This role demands not only adept management skills but also the ownership of a personal portfolio of clients.

Sales Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tailored strategic action plans for each Line of Business (LOB) to attain business objectives and meet predefined targets.
  • Craft financial plans that encompass key metrics such as volume, pricing, new business generation, customer retention, and productivity.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the sales budget, with a primary focus on surpassing revenue targets while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Strategically manage annual and monthly rate adjustments, setting specific goals to target segments or accounts that may require attention.
  • Establish individualized sales targets for each sales representative and provide continuous guidance and mentorship to empower them to achieve and exceed their sales and retention objectives.
  • Determine the territory structure, defining role specifications, focus areas, and the necessary staffing levels to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct an in-depth mid-year review to recalibrate roles, focus areas, and territory assignments, particularly in the aftermath of acquisitions or significant changes.
  • Review and refine customer retention strategies by analyzing both successful customer saves and losses, with a focus on improving processes and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal retention teams, including Customer Service.
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with each sales representative to set expectations for the upcoming week, review their performance from the previous week, and provide support for specific initiatives or areas requiring attention.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the sales pipeline using their CRM reporting tools to identify emerging opportunities and address potential challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive annual performance reviews and mid-year updates for the sales team to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with their strategic objectives.
  • Provide valuable insights and approve strategic sales plans, schedules, and tactics aimed at securing major accounts and municipalities.
  • Perform quarterly and annual evaluations to track and assess team performance, taking prompt corrective actions when necessary to ensure sustained success.

The successful candidate has: 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (considered an asset)
  • Proven experience in sales strategy and planning in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation and benefits:
 
  • $80,000 to $95,000 base salary.
