Key Account Manager

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to lead business development across Western Canada!
Our client is a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of flat-rolled steel products, supplying key industries across North America. With a focus on innovation, long-term partnerships, and operational excellence, this organization offers a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment for growth-minded professionals.
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new business, and driving revenue growth throughout the Western Canadian market. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on sales professional with experience in the steel or metals industry.
Key Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and account management initiatives across Western Canada
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive long-term growth
- Develop account strategies and regional business plans to meet or exceed annual sales targets
- Negotiate pricing and supply agreements in alignment with company objectives and market conditions
- Provide sales forecasts and contribute to annual budgets and long-term planning initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Purchasing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership
- Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales or business development experience in the steel or metal service industry
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including experience working with senior executives
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and managing a strategic sales pipeline
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Located in Western Canada (preferably Winnipeg) with the ability to travel as required
Compensation and Benefits:
- The discussed base salary range is $110,000 - $120,000
- Comprehensive benefits package including pension contributions

- Remote working environment
