Food Ingredients Commercial Sales Manager
Job Description
Our client is a privately owned Canadian manufacturer supplying ingredient solutions to food producers across multiple product categories. They support both regional and national customers through customized product development and application expertise. The Sales Commercial Lead will be responsible for driving national commercial strategy, managing established accounts and aggressively expanding new business opportunities across Canada.
Food Ingredients Commercial Sales Manager responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of national commercial strategy
- Manage and grow B2B ingredient sales across a portfolio of food manufacturing customers
- Maintain key accounts while driving new business development nationally
- Support customers with technical product discussions and solution-based selling
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement and Marketing on pricing, launches and growth initiatives
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to guide commercial decisions
- Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events across Canada
- Track revenue performance, forecasting and pipeline management
- Work closely with executive leadership to support continued business growth
- 10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience within food ingredients or food manufacturing
- Experience selling into commercial food production environments
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities
- Proven success in both strategic account management and national business development
- Ability to operate effectively within a smaller, agile organization
- Strong commercial judgment and strategic mindset
- Familiarity with food safety and regulatory environments
- Post-secondary education in Food Science, Business or related discipline
- French is an asset
- Ability to work on-site in Mississauga
- Willingness to travel extensively across Canada
- The discussed salary range is $110,000 to $120,000 base, plus commission
