Our client, a leader in the Engineering and Construction space, is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, BC.  They are currently going through a massive growth phase and with projects throughout Western Canada, this opportunity is ideal for someone looking for career growth, a team-oriented environment and the security of a stable environment…which isn’t easy to find in these economic times.

Project Engineer – Geotechnical Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer will have a combination of on-site and in-office duties including:
  • Managing technical sides of the contract
  • Ensuring that production and quality documentation are up to date
  • Participating in weekly meetings with Clients
  • Supervising QA/QC on project sites
  • Drafting end-of-project summaries / reports / As built drawings
  • Helping with surveying on site
  • Performing feasibility analysis and answering queries from clients
  • Developing soil improvement and quality control programs
  • Contributing to project cost estimating
  • AutoCAD drafting
What the successful candidate will bring:
  • 1-4 years’ experience as a Geotechnical Engineer,
  • Registered as an EIT with EGBC
  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Passion for civil construction
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
Compensation and benefits:
  • $60,000-$85,000 annual salary depending on experience, with bonus and comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunity to participate in Company Stock Options plan

  • As this is an urgent requirement, relocations will not be considered
