Production Assistant / Operator – Langley, BC

Due to growth and upcoming retirements, our client is seeking a Production Assistant / Operator to join their squad in Langley, BC.  Offering above market total compensation, they are a reputable player in the local manufacturing sector and have a small, loyal and tight-knit team.

The Production Assistant / Operator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of production processes while upholding the highest standards of quality.

Note: 24/5 operation, 3 rotating shift schedule (2 weeks each), must have access to vehicle as location is not serviced by public transport.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure the production lines with specified recipes and validate against production orders.

  • Conduct pre-shift inspections to verify alignment with production orders, settings, materials, recipes, and lot numbers.

  • Monitor equipment parameters consistently throughout the shift, ensuring adherence to defined operating requirements.

  • Adjust process parameters as directed by the Lab Manager or Production Manager.

  • Execute MFI tests as directed by shift leads, promptly reporting any deviations.

  • Dismantle compounding equipment for thorough cleaning and inspection.

  • Actively participate in routine cleaning and maintenance activities as assigned.

  • Immediately report any identified damaged equipment or safety concerns.

  • Raise awareness of supply needs as soon as they are noted.

The successful candidate has: 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Certification in a related trade an asset

  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to complete WHIMIS and forklift operation certification

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to commute to the office

  • Capability to work in a shift-based schedule.

  • The proposed salary range is $70,000 + Bonus, commensurate with experience.
