Located just 30 minutes north of Toronto (easily accessible from Vaughan, Newmarket, and Barrie), this role offers the chance to step into a high-visibility leadership role at a company that’s small enough for you to make a real difference—but big enough to provide challenge, stability, and long-term growth.
Production Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily beverage production operations to meet targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and output.
- Ensure full compliance with Canadian beverage manufacturing standards, including CFIA, HACCP, GMP, and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR).
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, operators, and line staff to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage and optimize processes related to liquid handling, bottling/packaging, pasteurization, and microbial control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
- Monitor production metrics and initiate process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
- Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles and effective problem-solving.
- Ensure sanitation and allergen control procedures meet or exceed industry standards.
- Lead daily production meetings and ensure strong communication across all departments and shifts.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of production staff in alignment with company standards and regulatory expectations.
- 5+ years of experience in a Production Supervisory role within beverage manufacturing (non-alcoholic, alcoholic, dairy, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Canadian food and beverage manufacturing regulations, including CFIA, HACCP, GMP, and SFCR.
- Direct experience in bottling lines, pasteurization processes and sanitation systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams and manage day-to-day plant operations.
- Experience with production planning, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on approach with a continuous improvement of mindset.
- The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $120,000, depending on experience
