Job Description

Our client in Winkler, Manitoba is seeking an experienced Plant Sanitation Manager who understands that sanitation goes beyond cleaning, it’s about protecting product integrity and ensuring food safety.

This is a night shift from 8pm to 4:30am however there may be some light flexibility around these hours.  

This is a critical leadership role for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and sanitation programs.

Plant Sanitation Manager
  • Lead and manage all sanitation activities across the facility, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, CFIA, GMP)
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs, procedures, and schedules
  • Oversee pre-operational inspections and ensure the plant is audit-ready at all times
  • Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Operations to maintain product safety and plant readiness
  • Manage and develop sanitation team members, including training, performance, and accountability
  • Ensure proper chemical handling, usage, and inventory control
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to sanitation or contamination risks
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong results and compliance
The successful candidate has: 
  • Must have a minimum of +3 years as a sanitation manager in a food related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing or a regulated production environment.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build, enforce, and sustain high standards.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
