Plant Sanitation Manager
Job Description
This is a night shift from 8pm to 4:30am however there may be some light flexibility around these hours.
This is a critical leadership role for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and sanitation programs.
Plant Sanitation Manager
- Lead and manage all sanitation activities across the facility, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, CFIA, GMP)
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs, procedures, and schedules
- Oversee pre-operational inspections and ensure the plant is audit-ready at all times
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Operations to maintain product safety and plant readiness
- Manage and develop sanitation team members, including training, performance, and accountability
- Ensure proper chemical handling, usage, and inventory control
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to sanitation or contamination risks
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong results and compliance
- Must have a minimum of +3 years as a sanitation manager in a food related industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing or a regulated production environment.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build, enforce, and sustain high standards.
- The discussed salary range is $70,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
