Job Description
Payroll Specialist I Responsibilities:
- Process semi-monthly payrolls for hourly, salary, commission and incentive-based employees
- Collect time data (timesheets, tech pay, etc.) and other payroll information as needed
- Enter payroll data into payroll import files
- Review and balance payroll entries and resolve errors as required
- Process new hires and maintain employee records
- Research and resolve payroll inquiries from employees and managers, escalate as required
- Calculate final pay requirements and process terminations as required
- Prepare and process ROE’s by the required deadlines
- Assist with year-end process, including issuing T2200s
- Previous experience in a Payroll position
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and year end functions
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
- 65,000 annual salary, and comprehensive benefits package
