Job Description

Our client, a leader in the auto financing and insurance space, is looking for a Payroll Specialist I to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. 

Payroll Specialist I Responsibilities:
  • Process semi-monthly payrolls for hourly, salary, commission and incentive-based employees
  • Collect time data (timesheets, tech pay, etc.) and other payroll information as needed
  • Enter payroll data into payroll import files
  • Review and balance payroll entries and resolve errors as required
  • Process new hires and maintain employee records
  • Research and resolve payroll inquiries from employees and managers, escalate as required
  • Calculate final pay requirements and process terminations as required
  • Prepare and process ROE’s by the required deadlines
  • Assist with year-end process, including issuing T2200s
What the successful candidate will bring:
  • Previous experience in a Payroll position
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and year end functions
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
Compensation and benefits:
  • 65,000 annual salary, and comprehensive benefits package
