Pension Specialist responsibilities:
- Payroll processing and compliance.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize the Dayforce system for payroll management, reporting, and record maintenance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting payroll and pension practices, ensuring all processes adhere to current laws.
- Hold a PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize payroll processes.
- Collaborate with the organization to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Maintain and update payroll information, including employee records, tax filings, and benefits deductions.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports using insights to recommend process improvements.
- Manage and optimize the Dayforce payroll system, integrating it with other HR and accounting systems as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in payroll administration roles.
- Possession of PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Accounting, or related field is an asset
- Expertise in using Dayforce software for payroll administration is a bonus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Ability to work in an Edmonton office is a requirement
