Job Description

We’re looking for an in-office Partner, Public Accounting to join a respected firm in Wainwright, AB.

Our client is a well-established public accounting firm serving a loyal, multi-generational client base within a close-knit community. The firm is known for exceptional client care, strong collaboration, and long-standing relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned public practice leader who is ready to step into a Partner role, contribute to firm strategy, and play a key part in succession planning and long-term growth.

The Partner will lead client engagements, mentor team members, and help shape the future direction of the practice while continuing to deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services.

Partner responsibilities:

  • Lead and review compilation and review engagement files with a high standard of quality
  • Oversee and sign off on corporate and personal tax engagements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the community
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to CPA and accounting team members
  • Contribute to firm strategy, growth initiatives, and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with current accounting and tax standards within a public practice environment
  • Champion a collaborative, respectful, and team-focused culture
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, efficiencies, and client service

The successful candidate has:

  • 10+ years of public practice accounting experience with progressive leadership responsibility
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing
  • Strong experience with compilations, reviews, and private company reporting
  • Depth of knowledge in corporate and personal tax
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements
  • Experience mentoring and developing team members
  • Working knowledge of Caseware and modern paperless systems
  • A community-minded, relationship-driven approach
  • Willingness to work fully in the office in Wainwright, AB

Compensation and benefits:
