Job Description
Our client is a global company and industry leader with a mission to cut emissions, boost productivity, drive operational reliability, and lower costs for its customers. The Outside Technical Sales Representative's goal is to achieve continuous sales and profit growth, owning all aspects of an assigned base of customers within the BC territory, though building strong relationships with a consultative-selling approach, primarily through on-site visits.
Outside Technical Sales Representative responsibilities:
- Promote full category of products and repair services to key centers of influence.
- Use consultative selling to uncover customer pains to identify winning solutions.
- Provides technical, effective sales presentations.
- Provide customer service for a range of related topics.
- Cultivate new relationships to understand customer’s equipment demands.
- Take part in pricing negotiations and purchasing contracts.
- Collaborate with the product/engineering departments to create products that will increase sales and profitability.
The successful candidate has:
- Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist qualifications considered an asset.
- 5-10 years of Technical Outside Sales Experience with industrial processing equipment (pumps, valves, motors etc.) OR related experience selling into Greater Vancouver/BC industrial/manufacturing facilities (Food& Bev, Pulp & Paper, Pharma, Oil & Gas, OEM’s etc.).
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of processing equipment.
- Target and goal driven mindset.
- Natural relationship building abilities and curious nature.
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $80,000 – $105,000 plus commission structure. Expected total compensation for this role is $120,000-$130,000.
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
