Job Description

We're looking for an Outside Sales Specialist in the construction, restoration, and environmental services industry.

Our client is a recognized leader in moisture management, temporary climate control, and innovative remote monitoring solutions that help protect buildings, projects, and critical assets. By combining technical expertise with cutting-edge digital technologies, they provide clients with proactive risk mitigation, real-time environmental insights, and customized solutions that improve project outcomes. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding market share, and developing long-term client relationships within an assigned territory.

Business Development Specialist responsibilities:
  • Drive profitable outside sales growth by promoting moisture management, temporary climate solutions, and advanced remote monitoring services throughout the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, project managers, architects, engineers, building owners, facility managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct sales presentations, identify client needs, and recommend customized moisture mitigation, drying, and environmental monitoring solutions.
  • Prepare project scopes, estimates, and proposals for moisture management, drying services, and digital monitoring deployments.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations to strengthen market presence and generate new opportunities.
The successful candidate has:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of business development or outside sales experience within construction, restoration, industrial services, equipment rental, or a related industry.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel as required
  • Knowledge of moisture dynamics, psychrometrics, environmental control, or drying applications considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the construction, restoration, industrial coatings, or equipment rental industries.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission. 1st year OTE of $100,000.
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
