Registered Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We’re looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the retail pharmacy industry.

- Port Alberni, BC
Our client is a fast-growing, pharmacist-owned organization operating multiple locations across Western Canada. Known for delivering patient-centered care beyond a traditional drug store model, this team emphasizes regulatory excellence, collaboration, and long-term career growth. The Registered Pharmacy Technician will play a key role in supporting pharmacists, ensuring accurate medication preparation, and delivering high-quality patient care.
Registered Pharmacy Technician responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and regulatory standards
- Conduct medication reviews and support medication management processes
- Maintain and document accurate patient records
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and professional standards
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
- Manage pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications
- Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently
- Support daily pharmacy operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development initiatives
The successful candidate has:
- Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technician program
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) in good standing
- Current CPR certification valid in Alberta
- Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Experience with Kroll considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Alberta pharmacy legislation and regulatory requirements
Compensation and benefits:
- Hourly pay range: $26.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on experience
