Job Description

To be considered for this role, experience in natural gas odorization, pipeline condition assessment, or propane-related projects is essential.

Our fast-growing client located in Lancaster, Ottawa, specializes in natural gas pumping systems, engineering services, installation, and In-Line Inspections. Due to their growth, they are looking to add an Operations/Project Manager to their team.

The Operations Supervisor/Project Manager will play a critical role in overseeing engineered products and on-road projects, managing both small and large-scale projects within the company’s operations.

The successful candidate will manage project execution from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Additionally, they will oversee the operations team, helping to develop systems and processes that support company growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and manage internal projects, including installations and remediation work.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring proper allocation of resources and cost control.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop strategic plans and manage project risks.
  • Support the hiring and training of new technicians to meet growing operational needs.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve issues related to workflow, scheduling, and performance.
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership to ensure successful project execution, including equipment installation and environmental remediation.
  • Develop processes for work order flow, repair strategies, and project coordination.
  • Support the team in troubleshooting and diagnosing operational issues to improve productivity.
  • Handle customer relations, ensuring concerns are addressed and project expectations are met.
  • Communicate project progress, deliverables, timelines, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and external partners for smooth project execution and future business opportunities.
The Successful Candidate has:
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems, with experience in project management and leadership.
  • 4+ years of leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing projects from inception to completion, with the ability to handle budget oversight and timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of leading teams to find solutions during complex situations.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: $95,000 – $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
