Our client in Mississauga is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Operations Manager with a strong background in CPG, logistics and retail. This role is designed for someone ready to be groomed into a director-level position, taking on a key leadership role within a service-driven organization

Director of Operations Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with the President to develop and execute operational plans.
  • Manage departments to deliver top-tier fulfillment and operational services.
  • Oversee resource planning, ensuring optimal staffing and effective workload delegation.
  • Monitor budgets, identifying opportunities to boost productivity and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance client satisfaction and company success.
  • Lead special projects and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate reports, analyze data, and share insights to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation.
  • Manage organizational data and oversee quality assurance, compliance, and KPI results.
  • Build strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers to maximize quality, performance, and value.
  • Monitor and manage vendor contracts, performance, and KPI compliance.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of managers and individual contributors across various functions.
  • Manage performance, feedback, and development plans for assigned teams.
The successful candidate has: 
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
  • Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) would be highly advantageous for this role.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience in operations.
  • Strong understanding of service-driven industries and distribution.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with project management, ERP, financial software, reporting tools, and other business software.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range ranges from $125 000 - $140 000 depending on experience
