Our client, a leading global mining company, is seeking a strategic and seasoned Global Head of Supply Chain to join their senior leadership team.

This is a mission-critical role for an executive who has successfully led complex, international supply chain operations—particularly in asset-intensive sectors such as mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial, energy, or large-scale construction.

The ideal candidate has built and scaled a global supply chain from the ground up, navigating multi-country operations, regulatory environments, and supplier networks across diverse geographies.

Your ability to establish systems, teams, and vendor strategies on a global scale is non-negotiable—this is not a maintenance role, but a build-and-lead mandate.

This high-impact position requires someone who thrives in fast-paced, asset-intensive environments, understands the complexity of remote and cross-border operations, and can lead transformational initiatives across multiple international sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement end-to-end global supply chain strategies supporting mining operations across multiple countries.
  • Build the supply chain function from the ground up—including processes, teams, systems, and supplier networks.
  • Oversee global procurement, logistics, inventory/asset management, and fulfillment, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Develop sourcing strategies tailored to the unique needs mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial, energy, or large-scale construction. especially remote and infrastructure-constrained locations.
  • Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure continuity, agility, and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Leverage advanced analytics, forecasting, and control tower visibility to optimize demand planning and inventory levels.
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement through KPIs and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives relevant to mining supply chains.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide strategic insights and direction on supply chain performance and risks.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership roles, with a strong focus on mining, heavy industry, or resource sectors.
  • Proven experience setting up global supply chain infrastructure and systems from scratch.
  • Strong grasp of international logistics, vendor development, and cross-border procurement strategies.
  • Track record of success in remote operations and complex, regulated environments.
  • Highly proficient in ERP systems and supply chain tools; strong financial and operational acumen.
  • APICS, CSCP, CPSM or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and sustainability frameworks.
  • Able to travel internationally up to 20 weeks per year.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary: $200,000 – $220,000 (commensurate with experience)
