Production / Operations Planner
Job Description
Our client is a growing manufacturing and operations-focused organization supporting complex production and distribution activities. They are seeking a Production / Operations Planner to take ownership of scheduling, coordination, and execution planning to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
This role is best suited for a hands-on planner who enjoys balancing priorities, working closely with operations teams, and ensuring plans translate into real-world execution.
Production / Operations Planner responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production or operations schedules aligned with demand, capacity, and resource availability
- Coordinate closely with operations, supply chain, and production teams to adjust plans as conditions change
- Monitor material availability, labour capacity, and workflow constraints to prevent delays or bottlenecks
- Support daily and weekly planning meetings and communicate schedule updates clearly to stakeholders
- Track performance against plan and support corrective actions when targets are missed
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy and operational efficiency
- 2–5 years of experience in production planning, operations planning, or scheduling roles
- Experience working in manufacturing, industrial operations, or distribution environments
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfort working with ERP or MRP systems and planning tools
- A practical, execution-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- The discussed salary range is $55,000 – $70,000, depending on experience
