Job Description
Our Calgary client, a growing and soon-to-be leading organization in the energy sector, is actively seeking a talented and driven Engineer/Project Manager to join their team.
As the Project Engineer, you will be crucial in overseeing and executing major projects across our client's operational areas.
Your primary responsibility will be leading projects from initial stages to completion. Working closely with the VP of Engineering, you will take charge of larger projects that demand engineering expertise, meticulous design, and comprehensive planning.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and identify potential new opportunities
- Develop comprehensive project schedules with well-defined activities
- Prepare project proposals
- Identify long lead items and critical path activities
- Oversee procurement relative to the projects you are assigned
- Oversee the engineering and design aspects and scope of work
- Perform effective client management and prepare regular project reports
- Identify and mitigate risks
The successful candidate has:
- Background in Engineering
- Project management experience
- Knowledge and experience in the energy industry would be considered an asset
- Field construction experience
- Superb communication and written skills
- Comfortable being the lead on client communication
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and benefits:
- $120,000 to $130,000, dependent on recent experience
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Fully remote position
