VP Operations

If either option appeals to you, this opportunity may be a strong fit. Our client is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a seasonal, resource-based horticulture and Agri-industrial operation.
Qualified candidates will bring senior operational leadership experience from large-scale agriculture, forestry, bulk materials, or primary processing environments.
VP Operations Job Responsibilities:
- Full operational leadership of resource handling
- Production planning, execution readiness, and capacity optimization
- Leadership of seasonal workforce scaling and performance management
- Coordination with ownership-led field, sourcing, and upstream activities
- Establishment of strong safety, quality, and cost discipline
- Development of operational structure, processes, and clear accountability
- Hands-on leadership during peak production and seasonal phases
- Continuous improvement of execution stability and operational reliability
- Previous experience taking raw input and reliably turning it into a finished product in a high-volume operation, especially during busy or seasonal periods
- 5+ years proven experience scaling production in complex operations
- Hands-on leader comfortable being present on the floor during critical periods
- Strong execution mindset with the ability to lead under pressure
- High standards for safety, quality, cost control, and people leadership
- Practical and accountable management style
