The Headhunters Recruitment has partnered with Canada Fluorspar Inc. (https://canadafluorspar.ca/) to add a Mill / Process Manager to their team in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland.
Canada Fluorspar Inc (CFI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renova Capital B.V., The Netherlands. The previous CFI operation was purchased by Renova Capital B.V., in June 2023 and mining activities resumed in April of 2025. The mine is controlled by Renova Capital B.V. a Dutch holding company which is owned by four private shareholders.
The mine boasts a world class mineral asset with a current mine life of 19 years and a processing Plant producing Acidspar with infrastructure, including a marine terminal. The mine is actively expanding and exploration to extend the life of mine is currently being undertaken. This role oversees the full operation of the processing plant - Crushing, Dense media separation and Flotation plants focusing on recovery efficiencies and operational improvements across all circuits to support CFI’s production and safety goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee daily operations of the plant including crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtering.
- Monitor and adjust flotation circuit parameters to maintain target recovery and concentrate grade.
- Coordinate with maintenance and HSE teams to ensure plant reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and efficiency.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for senior management.
- Manage reagent use and inventory control.
- Mentor and supervise plant operators and technical staff.
- Support environmental compliance and sustainability practices in plant processes.
- Post-secondary degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years’ experience in mineral processing, specifically flotation operations with team leadership responsibilities
- Base salary - $150,000-$200,000 plus bonus
