Mechanical Engineering Technologist - 19402
Job Description

- Oversee technical purchases including the sourcing, pricing and ordering from a variety of vendors.
- Manage the time frame of component orders and arrivals.
- Source out new vendors and evaluate opportunities for improved product sourcing.
- Monitor and follow-up of parts orders with accurate documentation of all parts being ordered.
- Collaborate with the mechanical design and manufacturing teams in sourcing the parts to meet production schedules.
- Special projects as assigned.
- A minimum of 3+ years of proven engineering technical purchasing experience.
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Strong understanding of fabricated machine parts.
- Ability to manage the time frame of component orders and arrivals.
- A good understanding of mechanical design. Experience with Solidworks and AutoCad software desirable.
- The ability to interface with design and production departments to effectively source component parts.
- Experience in assessing and sourcing new vendors.
- A good understanding of the purchasing flow process and strong documentation required.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Working experience with Microsoft Excel and file management.
- Must be based in or able to commute to Weyburn, SK.
- Salary range: $100,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
