Job Description

We’re looking for an onsite Business Development & Marketing Manager.

The Business Development & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, supporting marketing initiatives, and collaborating closely with the creative and operations teams to ensure client needs are met. This is a high-impact role for someone looking to take ownership and grow with a pioneering firm.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the PR company.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies (both online and offline).
  • Support proposal writing, client presentations, and pitch meetings.
  • Collaborate with operations/creative team to align client needs with services.
  • Track sales pipeline and prepare regular progress reports.
Short-Term (first 6 months):
  • Generate qualified leads and close at least 2–3 new accounts.
  • Establish initial marketing campaigns and client outreach strategy.
  • Build brand presence within target communities, including Asian markets.
Long-Term (6 months+):
  • Consistently achieve revenue targets.
  • Develop repeat client business and long-term partnerships.
  • Contribute to shaping the company’s overall sales and marketing strategy.

The successful candidate has:
  • 2–5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Additional certifications in Sales, Digital Marketing, or PR are an asset.
  • Strong client acquisition, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Multilingual: Fluent in English plus Korean or Chinese (at least Chinese is acceptable).
  • Familiarity with Canadian business culture and client relations.
  • Ambitious, driven, and client-focused with excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a pioneer role with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Knowledge of Canadian multicultural markets, especially Asian communities.
  • Digital marketing skills (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, etc.).
  • Existing client networks or business connections.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: CAD $50,000 – $60,000 annually depending on experience.
