Our client, located near East St. Paul, MB, and a leader in their industry, and an employer of choice, is expanding their Engineering team!

We are looking for a goal-oriented self-starter, with a proven track record in process analysis and improvement within a manufacturing environment.  The Manufacturing Process Engineer/Technologist will be focused on identifying, analyzing, and implementing improvements, optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous innovation within their production environment.
 
Manufacturing Process Engineer/Technologist Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrating a strong background in process engineering, problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence, the Process Engineer will analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiencies and reduce cost.
  • Engage all team members to lead a culture of continuous improvement by overseeing initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address process related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Use data and statistical tools to process data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions for process improvements (value stream mapping, time studies, transportation studies)
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience with manufacturing operations management, including process analysis, value-stream mapping, production layouts, time and transportation studies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering Technology (Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial); consideration will be given to individuals with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in analyzing and improving industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in mechanical/industrial systems - material handling, drives/ motor/hydraulics, plc/sensors.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies an asset (6S, Gemba, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Management System experience (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, TS 16949, etc.).
  • Project management skills to develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with structural design, particularly for material handling applications would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel to U.S. occasionally
  • Must be willing to work at 3 facilities - East St. Paul, (at least 60%), Steinbach (approx. 40%) and U.S. facility (occasionally) 
Compensation and Benefits: 
  • The discussed salary range is $80,000-$90,000/year, depending upon experience.
