Job Description
The Industrial Millwright is responsible for inspecting, repairing, repairing, installing and adjusting mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in the facility. The position is required to hold and maintain a Millwright Red Seal Provincial certification or equivalent designation.
Industrial Millwright responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose malfunctions, and conduct repairs on industrial equipment.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and other special systems.
- Repair/service pneumatic and electric tools, gear boxes, pumps, actuator and cylinders, FV drives, welding, and crane work.
- Manage program for calibrated instruments and related scheduling.
- Fabricate parts when/where feasible.
- Complete and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance program requirements, including managing/recording maintenance activity in CMMS
- When required, manage/liaise with contractors for any outside maintenance/facility management.
- Red Seal Certification or Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate
- 2-3 years' experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A combination of certification and experience will be considered
- Knowledge and experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, CNC machines, PLC controls, conveyors, drills, presses, etc.
- Aptitude reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and schematics for equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of plant and equipment operations
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to support maintenance team for call-out maintenance activities (on-site, after hours if required).
- Welding certification would be considered an asset.
Compensation and benefits:
- $37.00/hour (including production bonus)
