Job Description

Our client, a leader in their field in the manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright to join their team at their facility in Steinbach, MB.

The Industrial Millwright is responsible for inspecting, repairing, repairing, installing and adjusting mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in the facility. The position is required to hold and maintain a Millwright Red Seal Provincial certification or equivalent designation.

Industrial Millwright responsibilities: 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose malfunctions, and conduct repairs on industrial equipment.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and other special systems.
  • Repair/service pneumatic and electric tools, gear boxes, pumps, actuator and cylinders, FV drives, welding, and crane work.
  • Manage program for calibrated instruments and related scheduling.
  • Fabricate parts when/where feasible.
  • Complete and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance program requirements, including managing/recording maintenance activity in CMMS
  • When required, manage/liaise with contractors for any outside maintenance/facility management.
The successful candidate has: 
  • Red Seal Certification or Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate
  • 2-3 years' experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A combination of certification and experience will be considered
  • Knowledge and experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, CNC machines, PLC controls, conveyors, drills, presses, etc.
  • Aptitude reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and schematics for equipment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of plant and equipment operations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to support maintenance team for call-out maintenance activities (on-site, after hours if required).
  • Welding certification would be considered an asset.
Hours of Work:  Monday to Friday Day shift (occasional other shifts for staff coverage)

Compensation and benefits:
