About the Opportunity
An established and growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Hydrogeologist to join its team in Vancouver, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for an early- to mid-career professional who wants to work on a diverse mix of physical and contaminant hydrogeology projects while developing their technical expertise alongside experienced industry leaders.
In this role, you will contribute to projects that help solve complex environmental and groundwater challenges across Western Canada. From site investigations and remediation programs to aquifer testing, dewatering design, and groundwater resource assessments, you will gain exposure to a broad range of technically interesting and meaningful work.
If you're looking for a position that offers variety, professional growth, mentorship, and the opportunity to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hydrogeological field investigations, including monitoring well installation and groundwater sampling.
  • Coordinate and oversee drilling and subcontractor activities in the field.
  • Log soil and rock core samples and interpret geological and hydrogeological conditions.
  • Analyze hydrogeological and environmental data to support technical assessments and recommendations.
  • Develop conceptual site models and contribute to groundwater and contaminant transport evaluations.
  • Support remediation, risk assessment, water supply, aquifer testing, and dewatering projects.
  • Assist with technical reporting, data interpretation, and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to groundwater modelling and climate resilience assessments where applicable.

What the Successful Candidate Will Bring
  • Master's degree in Hydrogeology, with undergraduate studies in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of both physical and contaminant hydrogeology principles.
  • Hands-on experience with groundwater investigations, field programs, and hydrogeological data analysis.
  • Eligibility for professional registration as a Geologist or Engineer in British Columbia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
  • A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to continuously learn from experienced professionals.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Experience with groundwater modelling software (e.g., MODFLOW) and climate change impacts on groundwater resources would be considered an asset.

In Return, You Can Expect
  • Base salary between $70,000 - $110,000 depending on experience, including overtime pay or time-in-lieu options.
  • Comprehensive benefits program and additional employee perks.
  • Meaningful work on projects that support environmental stewardship and sustainable resource management.
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of hydrogeological projects that will accelerate your professional development.
  • Mentorship from highly respected technical experts and opportunities to expand your skills.
  • A collaborative, supportive, and entrepreneurial team culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Flexible work arrangements that promote work-life balance.
  • Clear opportunities for professional growth, technical advancement, and long-term career development.
