Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding process by preparing documentation, coordinating orientations, and managing checklists.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee files, both physical and digital, in compliance with BC privacy and employment legislation.
- Update and manage data in the HRIS and internal tracking spreadsheets.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and time-off.
- Assist in the organization of internal events, training sessions, and engagement initiatives.
- Prepare reports, memos, and presentations as needed by the HR team.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and employment standards regulations.
- Provide administrative support to HR and Payroll teams.
- 1–3 years of experience in an HR supportive role, recruiting, or staffing firm experience.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Familiarity with BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. BambooHR, ADP, Ceridian) is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- The discussed salary range is $50,000-$55,000.
- Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered.
