Part-Time – Temp to Perm HR Generalist – South West Calgary

We are looking for a part-time HR Generalist (approximately 25 hours per week) within a growing, entrepreneurial organization in the industrial sector located in South Calgary.

The incoming HR Generalist will play an essential role in supporting people operations with accuracy, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
The Part-Time HR Generalist will be responsible for delivering broad HR support with a strong focus on payroll, compliance, and employee experience.

Part-Time HR Generalist Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll for hourly and salaried employee
  • Oversee timesheet administration and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
  • Assist with incentive and compensation-related work
  • Participate in policy development and updates
  • Provide general HR support across the employee lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with the operational leaders
The Successful Candidate Has:
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist within a small business, startup, or entrepreneurial environment
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPHR designation or progress toward it considered an asset
  • Provide day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, documentation, policy and procedure, payroll, and compliance activities
  • Experience in the full spectrum of HR functions including employee relations, performance processes, compliance, payroll, attendance management, recordkeeping, onboarding/offboarding, benefits management, and day-to-day employee and company support
  • Previous exposure to industrial and manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with Dayforce (formerly Ceridian) payroll; familiarity with Shareworks would be of benefit as well
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
  • A collaborative, grounded, team-focused personality
  • Open and adaptable to change and working in a fast-growing, evolving organization
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The discussed hourly range is $35 - $39 per hour
  • Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered
  • Part-time role (approx. 25 hours/week) with remote flexibility
