Job Description

The Headhunters are on the hunt for an experienced Senior Career Recruitment Consultant to assist job seekers with employment search, career planning, employment readiness, transferable skills assessment and job search strategies.

This role also includes working with employers to understand hiring needs and support the connection of qualified job seekers with current and future workforce requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interview job seekers to obtain employment history, educational background, skills, experience, and career goals
  • Assess job seeker needs, including employment readiness, transferable skills, barriers to employment, and potential need for further training
  • Assist job seekers with job search strategies, résumé preparation, interview preparation, and understanding employer expectations
  • Conduct psychometric profiling to help identify interests, aptitudes, abilities, suitability, and areas for development
  • Provide job seekers with labour market information regarding job openings and skill requirements
  • Provide job seekers with information and strategies for career planning, workplace transitions, mid-career changes, and employment-related challenges
  • Meet with employers to assess hiring needs, workforce challenges, role requirements, and talent availability
  • Support employers in identifying workforce gaps, future hiring needs, and talent pipeline opportunities
  • Participate in recruitment events, career fairs, workshops, and presentations related to employment readiness, career planning, and labour market opportunities
  • Conduct research and collect labour market information to support job seeker guidance and employer workforce advisory
  • Perform related administrative tasks, including maintaining records, documenting assessments, and tracking employment advisory activities
The successful candidate has:
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an employment agency, recruitment firm, or consulting environment providing employment-related services to both job seekers and employers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong employer relationships while providing employment-related, recruitment, and workforce advisory services
  • Experience interviewing, assessing, advising, and profiling job seekers to support suitable employment matches
  • Strong knowledge of labour market conditions, compensation structures, workforce planning, employment practices, and recruitment strategies
  • Experience conducting compensation analysis, job evaluation, and assessing role requirements in relation to labour market conditions
  • Strong advisory and consultative skills in working with both employers and job seekers on employment-related matters
Compensation and benefits:
  • The salary is $37 per hour
  • Commissions based on personal performance
