Heavy Duty Mechanic Responsibilities:
  • Perform repair work and mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of various components and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other major components of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex issues and perform accurate repairs.
  • Follow manufacturer's specifications and technical manuals to ensure repairs are conducted correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including parts used and labor hours expended.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in heavy-duty vehicle technology and attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
The successful candidate has: 
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket.
  • 4+ years experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills. 
  • Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude. 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 
  • Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform basic computer operations such as opening and closing work orders. 
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed hourly rate is from 56 dollars per hour to 58 dollars per hour depending on experience.
